A sea of Taylor Blue transformed the lobby at Top Golf on Friday, Sept. 26, as several members of the Firehouse staff traded laptops and notepads for irons and drivers for the afternoon. The weather was fantastic, the food tasty, and even better – there was no need to walk 18 holes.
To ‘Top’ it off, the golfing was for a great cause, one that’s close to us all at Firehouse: Taylor’s Gift Foundation.
With an army of generous volunteers, donors and local celebrities, Taylor’s Gift took over the venue to host its fifth-annual golf tournament. The 2014 Taylor’s Gift Golf Tournament marked the first time in the foundation’s history to host the fundraiser off the course and inside the Top Golf Facility.
Friday’s tournament marked the first major Taylor’s Gift event since the launch of its new campaign, “Here For Tomorrows.” Moments before teeing off, Todd Storch introduced the new work in front of the Taylor’s Gift family.
“Taylor’s Gift is a foundation that is close to every Firehouser’s heart,” said Erica Baker, Firehouse Account Executive. “Being able to participate in an event that not only raises money for the foundation, but is also fun, is a great experience.”
We didn’t come home with a trophy, but we’re certain everyone left with a tangible piece of Taylor’s story. To learn more about Taylor’s Gift visit TaylorsGift.org.
