Last week, Doug, Meredith, Chanell, Ashley and I attended the Anne Frank Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. If you’re not aware, Anne Frank Elementary is a school where Firehousers volunteer to help shape the young minds of Dallas, Texas. It’s an amazing school, and we’re lucky to get to hang out there at least once a month. Not only were we provided with an amazing (and might I say: homemade) multicultural lunch, we were also blown away by the entertainment. For starters, the pre-kindergarden choir showed us how it’s done. Not only vocally – they did not hesitate to bust out some dance skills. Yes, they performed the Electric Slide and the ABC Rock and did not miss a beat. We were impressed. The luncheon was wrapped up with a raffle drawing, where Ashley won a Disney Princess puzzle and Chanell won a Blue’s Clues book. We know what they’ll be doing this week.
